Hi!  I'm Allen Driskill.  By day I'm a mild-mannered Research Scientist for a major metropolitan tech company.  But, when I'm not earning a living, I'm a dancer and a dance teacher. 

I teach ballroom dances like Foxtrot, Waltz, Swing, East Coast, West Coast, Cha-Cha, and others.  I dance and teach in and around Worthington, Ohio, USA. In a world of young, thin, handsome dance instructors, I think I stand out from the crowd!

I am a graduate of MSU1, OSU2, and WU3.  I am also a proud alumni of, and certified by, MIT4 and FFSDA5.  (I love footnotes because they sound like they should have something to do with dancing, but they don't.)

I only teach Social Dancing: easy-going, non-competitive dancing that's just for fun, exercise, and socializing.  It's a great hobby, a wonderful excuse to spend time with your Significant Other, and the ticket to membership in a huge world-wide community of friendly and fun-loving people.

 My wife, Edie Milligan Driskill, is also a dancer and a teacher.  If I'm "a little bit ballroom" then she's "a little bit country."  She prefers line-dancing, partner-pattern dancing, and country lead-follow dances like Two-Step.  For info on her WILD Country  (We're Into Line Dancing) club, check out the "WILD Country" Google Group or read their latest press releases.

Together, my wife and I have hosted and been instructors at the "Dance With UU" every Monday night since the summer of 2005.  We teach Sunday afternoon group classes in Worthington's Township Building, and Edie teaches at the Worthington and Dublin Community Centers.   We have also taught at many of the social dance venues around Columbus, Ohio,  like the Elizabeth Blackwell dances and the weekly swing clubs.   There's more info about all those classes on the events page.
